Refrigeration P–T Chart Lookup Practice
Pressure-temperature relationships are a fundamental part of refrigeration fault diagnosis. The RDA Academy P–T Lookup Drill is designed to give working refrigeration engineers a simple way to practise converting between pressure and saturation temperature using the on-screen P–T chart and ten lookup questions. Rather than waiting until you are standing in front of a system, the drill gives you dedicated practice away from the job.
It can be used to refresh existing knowledge, build confidence with P–T chart practice or support wider learning around superheat and subcooling. The tool is intended for engineers working across supermarket, retail and commercial refrigeration. It is a practice resource rather than a formal assessment or qualification.
Refrigerants in this draft: R134a, R404A, R290, R410A and R744. Saturation rows are from CoolProp 8.0.0 (Helmholtz EOS; gauge = absolute − 1.01325 bar). Confirm the refrigerant list and that you are happy citing CoolProp before treating this as final teaching material [SOURCE NEEDED]. Always check the PT chart on site before charging. R448A / R449A are not included — use the manufacturer’s chart [SOURCE NEEDED].
